New 411on281/EIS Web Site is LIVE!

The 411on281 website, which recently underwent a major reconstruction, is now a more interactive and informative site for the US 281 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). This EIS site includes some new elements such as Transportation 101, news and media section, detailed information on the Community Advisory and Peer Technical Review Committees, visual information depicting the US 281 Environmental history and the EIS process, and photos from past public meetings. Most importantly, you’ll find information on how you can get involved in the EIS process.

We hope you’ll use this web site to gain information about the US 281 EIS and submit your comments to be included in the official meeting report. Your feedback is invaluable for the US 281 EIS, so we’re trying to find more interactive methods to make public participation more convenient for everyone.

Mark your calendars! The next public meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, April 29, 2010, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, at the Summit Christian Center at 2575 Marshall Road. At this meeting, you’ll be able to have a conversation and share ideas with other users of US 281 about the alternative transportation solutions being evaluated for the corridor.
